Proactive Personnel are currently looking for a Production Operative with a Forklift Licence to start work for our client based in Haslingden, Lancashire.
Duties include:
- Carry out production and assembly tasks in accordance with standard operating procedures and manufacturing guidelines.
- Operate machinery, equipment and hand tools safely and efficiently.
- Complete assigned production tasks to meet daily production schedules and targets. Maintain accurate production records where required.
- Ensure products meet company quality standards and follow all quality system requirements.
- Maintain a clean, organised and safe working environment in line with 6S standards.
- Follow all company Health & Safety procedures and immediately report hazards or unsafe practices.
- Work flexibly across different production areas when required.
- Participate in training, team meetings and continuous improvement activities.
- Maintain positive and professional working relationships with colleagues and supervisors.
Requirements:
- Previous experience working in a manufacturing or production environment is essential.
- Experience using hand tools or small machinery is beneficial.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Comfortable heavy lifting and manual handling.
- Flexible and adaptable to changing production requirements.
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn new skills.
- Comfortable working in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment.
Pay is starting at £14.70 an hour which would increase after 6 months of employment. Hours are based on a rotating shift pattern, both day shift 07:00-19:00 and night shift 19:00-07:00.
