Proactive Personnel are currently recruiting for a Bookkeeper/Accounts Assistant on behalf of a well-established Accountancy Practice in Malvern, Worcestershire. The successful candidate will ideally have practice experience; however, if you are currently working within industry but are keen to make a switch to practice, we are keen to hear from you!
Hours: Mon-Fri | 8:30am – 4:30pm or 9am – 5pm | Flexitime offered.
Salary: £28,000 - £32,000 per annum DOE.
Duties include but are not limited to:
- Bookkeeping for a portfolio of clients on a monthly/quarterly basis
- Training clients on Xero
- Processing invoices, income and receipts and entering data into accounting software
- Completion and submission of VAT returns
- Preparing financial statements showing business income and expenditure
- Assisting with other accounting tasks as required
- Dealing with incoming telephone calls and emails
Ideal Candidate:
- A minimum of 2-3 years’ practice experience preferred.
- Previous bookkeeping experience using Xero and Sage; however, training can be provided for the right candidate.
- Strong administrative and communication skills
- Ability to work independently, who can manage their own time, working to tight deadlines.
- A friendly, professional manner with a proactive attitude.
