FLT and Van Driver

We\’re looking for a reliable and hands-on Goods In/Out Operative who can also serve as a Backup Delivery Driver when needed. This is a varied role within a busy manufacturing environment that combines warehouse, material handling, and occasional driving duties. You\’ll play a key role in ensuring materials and products move smoothly through our operations—from delivery to dispatch. Key Responsibilities: * Unload deliveries, including sheet metal, extrusions, and components * Inspect, record, and correctly store all incoming goods Goods Outward: * Pack and prepare finished goods for delivery * Load vehicles for outbound distribution Material Handling & Replenishment: * Load raw materials into laser cutting machines and transport work-in-progress items * Replenish materials and components using Kanban or similar systems * Ensure accurate, on-time movement of stock to keep production flowing Bench Work: * Assist with light manufacturing tasks such as sawing, drilling, spot welding, and assembly work Driving Duties: * Provide backup delivery support, ensuring timely and professional deliveries to customers General Duties: * Working: Monday to Thursday: 07:30 – 16:00 Friday: 07:30 – 15:00 * Keep the warehouse and work areas clean, tidy, and safe * Communicate clearly with the shop floor supervisor to prioritise tasks * Be flexible with occasional early starts or late finishes as needed What We’re Looking For: Essential: * Valid counterbalance forklift licence * Clean and full UK driving licence * Good communication and teamwork skills * Physically fit and comfortable with manual handling * Reliable, positive, and proactive attitude Desirable: * Previous experience in a warehouse or manufacturing environment * Familiarity with Kanban or lean material handling processes * Confident using hand tools and basic workshop machinery * High attention to detail and commitment to quality Interested?
