Proactive Personnel are recruiting for a Finance Assistant in ST6 on behalf of our well-established client. Reporting to the Finance Director, you’ll take a key role in the day to day finance duties. You will also work closely with other Departments to support the smooth running of the business. The candidate will have the opportunity to progress and move into different departments, you will also have the chance to go through various training programmes and receive an accreditation.

Hours: Monday-Friday, 20-25 hours per week - flexible hours

Salary: £26,000 pro rata

Responsibilities include but not limited to:

  • Processing purchase invoices and supplier payments
  • Raising sales invoices and managing customer accounts
  • Reconciling bank statements and company accounts
  • Monitoring accounts payable and accounts receivable
  • Chasing outstanding payments and managing credit control
  • Maintaining accurate financial records and spreadsheets
  • Supporting month-end and year-end finance processes
  • Preparing financial reports for management
  • Assisting with budgeting and forecasting activities
  • Inputting financial data into accounting systems
  • Liaising with suppliers, customers, and internal departments
  • Ensuring compliance with company finance procedures
  • General finance administration and office support

Ideal Candidate:

  • Gained experience working in a similar role
  • Excel experience
  • Previous knowledge on Finance Systems – Full training will be given
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Pride yourself on the quality of your work and have a methodical approach to tasks
  • Communicate clearly and concisely with finance and non-finance colleagues
  • Be ambitious and enjoy working in a fast-paced environment
