Are you an engineering graduate, junior engineer, or someone with genuine hands-on knowledge and enthusiasm for the engineering industry who is looking for a new challenge?

Proactive Personnel Ltd are looking to expand their established Permanent Division with an Engineering Recruitment Consultant to specialise in the recruitment and placements of maintenance engineers and engineering professionals across the UK.

You’ll use your understanding of engineering to identify great candidates, build relationships with clients and match skilled engineers with companies that need their expertise.

  • What you'll be doing
  • Building a network of skilled maintenance engineers and engineering professionals
  • Speaking with engineers to understand their experience, skills, ambitions and career goals
  • Developing strong relationships with engineering and manufacturing businesses
  • Identifying new vacancies and matching the right candidates to the right opportunities
  • High volume outbound sales to prospective clients
  • Networking engineering talent to clients within the UK
  • Managing the recruitment process from initial conversation through to placement
  • Advertising roles and proactively sourcing candidates
  • Keeping up to date with the engineering and manufacturing market
  • Developing your own client and candidate portfolio
  • Working towards personal and team targets, with excellent earning potential
  • Using CRM system and following recruitment processes to maintain compliance

Engineering experience or knowledge is important to us. Recruitment and sales experience would be desirable but not essential.

As an Engineering Recruitment Consultant you could be

  • An engineering graduate looking to put your technical knowledge to use in a commercial career
  • A junior engineer with around 2 years' industry experience who wants to explore a different career path
  • Someone who has worked around engineering, manufacturing or maintenance and has a genuine understanding of the industry
  • A technically minded individual who has a strong interest in engineering and enjoys talking to people
  • An existing recruiter who already understands the engineering sector

Most importantly, you'll be driven, confident, curious and commercially minded, with the ability to build genuine relationships with people.
