Proactive Personnel are currently recruiting for a Customs Compliance Assistant for a successful growing transport and logistics company at their site in Trafford Park. This is a new position due to growth and the ideal candidate will have experience working in a similar position. Purpose of the role: To meet customers’ requirements for the safe and efficient transport of their cargo effectively and in accordance with company operational procedures and statutory requirements including Health & Safety to the satisfaction of clients and a return for the company. Responsibilities: – Trade goods between GB & NI through Trader Support Service (TSS). – Generate & submit Entry Summary Declarations (ENS) safety and security declarations to TSS. – Create GMRs to receive authorization to move goods. – Handle supplemental declarations when we are the importer. – Trade goods between GB & ROI by verifying invoices and spreadsheets before submitting to Dublin colleagues if not arranged locally – Assist with verification of customs declaration information and the submission of such to the customs authority. – Ensure all HMRC documents are prepared correctly and that the depots receive clear instruction on cargo – Handle HMRC systems to check clearance status of shipments. – Maintain regular communication with sales team and traffic team to get missing i…
