Pay: £12.71 – £13.50 per hour (depending on accounts experience)

We are currently recruiting for a Data Entry & Accounts Administrator to join a busy office in Cannock on a temporary basis. This role has been created to support the accounts team following the implementation of a new business system.
The successful candidate will play a key role in reviewing, cleansing and updating data to ensure the accuracy of financial information within the new system, while also providing day-to-day administrative support to the accounts department.
Key Responsibilities
- Review, validate and update data within the new business system, ensuring all information is accurate.
- Identify and resolve data discrepancies as part of an ongoing data cleansing project.
- Carry out high-volume data entry with a high level of accuracy.
- Support the accounts team with general administration, including invoice processing, checking financial records and reconciliations.
- Liaise with internal departments to verify and update information where required.
- Maintain accurate records and ensure deadlines are met.
Skills & Experience
- Previous administration and/or data entry experience is essential.
- Basic accounts experience, including invoice processing, purchase ledger or reconciliations.
- Excellent attention to detail with the ability to spot and correct errors.
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage a busy workload.
- Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
- Confident learning and using new systems.
- A proactive, reliable and self-motivated approach to work.
- An accounting qualification or previous accounting experience would be advantageous but is not essential.
