The Role
You will be responsible for operating manual machinery and lathes, carrying out precision machining work to support the refurbishment and repair of industrial gearboxes.
The role requires a good understanding of manual machining techniques and the ability to produce high-quality work.
Duties
- Operating manual machines and centre lathes.
- Machining components for gearbox refurbishment and repair.
- Working from engineering drawings where required.
- Ensuring all work meets quality and safety standards.
- Maintaining a clean and safe working environment.
Requirements
- Previous experience operating manual machines and lathes is essential.
- Experience with gearbox refurbishment and repair is highly desirable.
- Good attention to detail and ability to work independently.
- Reliable with a strong work ethic.
- Hours
- Monday – Thursday: 7:00am – 4:00pm
Please note: Standard hours are based on a full working week; however, these are not guaranteed.
You will be paid only for the actual hours worked and confirmed on your weekly timesheet.
