Transport Coordinator – Birkenhead/Wallasey – £35,000 per annum
We are currently recruiting for an experienced Transport Coordinator to join a busy transport operation based in Birkenhead/Wallasey.
This is a great opportunity for someone with strong organisational and communication skills who is confident coordinating drivers, vehicles and daily transport operations.
The Role:
- Plan and schedule daily vehicle routes
- Monitor deliveries and collections to ensure they run on time
- Communicate with drivers throughout the day
- Allocate drivers and vehicles to daily workloads
- Respond quickly to delays, breakdowns and other transport issues
- Liaise with customers regarding delivery times and updates
- Ensure drivers comply with Drivers’ Hours and Working Time Regulations
- Track vehicles using GPS and transport management systems
- Coordinate vehicle maintenance, servicing and MOT schedules
- Ensure the smooth and efficient running of daily transport operations
Requirements:
- Previous experience in a transport coordination, planning or similar role
- Strong organisational and time-management skills
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to work under pressure and react quickly to changing situations
- Good understanding of Drivers’ Hours and Working Time Regulations
- Confident using transport management systems and GPS tracking software
- Reliable, proactive and able to work independently

- Monday to Friday
- 08:00 – 17:00
