We are looking for a Service Engineer to join our clients growing team, working on industrial waste shredders across recycling sites throughout the UK. This hands-on role includes servicing, maintenance, repairs, and installation of both stationary and mobile machinery. Primarily based in Rossendale but candidates MUST be willing to travel UK wide. Regular travel and working away from home will be required.
Key Responsibilities
- Service, maintain, and repair industrial shredders
- Diagnose faults and carry out on-site breakdown repairs
- Install and commission machinery
- Work on mechanical components including hydraulics, bearings, and cutting systems
- Complete service reports and maintain high safety standards
- Support workshop work when required
Requirements
- 1–2 years’ hands-on engineering experience
- Full UK driving licence
- Willingness to travel and work away from home
- Flexible to work overtime/weekends
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong work ethic and attention to detail
This position will be permanent for the right candidate. Salary is negotiable, dependant on experience.
