Bench Operator / Fettler

Proactive Personnel are recruiting for Bench Operators / Fettlers to join a precision engineering and aerospace manufacturing company in the Wrexham area on a 12 week contract basis

This is a hands-on role ideal for individuals with experience in de-burring, fettling, or bench operations, offering long-term progression and the chance to work within a highly regulated, quality-focused environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Bench and fettle aerospace components to precise engineering drawings and SOPs
• Perform de-burring, orbital sanding, and removal of sharp edges
• Apply part marking and perform rework as required
• Accurately complete job cards, track cycle times, and report non-conformances
• Follow quality control standards and collaborate with inspection teams
• Maintain tools and work areas, adhering to all H&S and housekeeping requirements

What We’re Looking For:

• Previous experience in a similar role, using hand/power/air tools
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
• High attention to detail and strong hand-eye coordination
• Basic numeracy and familiarity with MRP systems (e.g., EFACS)
• Proactive attitude with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Flexible and reliable with good communication skills
