Proactive Personnel are currently looking for a CNC Operator to start work in Accrington. This is an opportunity for an experienced CNC engineer with a strong background in milling and turning. The ideal candidate will have excellent knowledge of Fanuc controls and be confident programming, setting and operating CNC machinery to a high standard.
Duties:
- Follow instructions related to the CNC program and machine fixtures
- Liaise with supervisors and colleagues to ensure a consistent workflow
- Ensure all components meet engineering drawings and customer specifications
- Adhere to the company’s AS9100 quality standards
- Daily maintenance on assigned machinery
- Comply with all Health & Safety regulations
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the work area
- Experienced in Mazak, Fanuc operating systems
Requirements:
- Previous experience in a CNC operating or manufacturing environment
- Candidates must have FANUC programming experience
- Attention to detail
- Good communication skills
- Proficiency in CAD software, particularly SolidWorks, for creating and modifying designs
- Strong mechanical knowledge with experience in fabrication techniques
- Familiarity with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) is advantageous
Working hours are Monday - Thursday 7:00am - 17:00pm. Pay is £18 - £19 per hour, depending on experience.
