We are a well-established specialist transport company, delivering commercial catering equipment, IT cabinets, and cash machines nationwide. We operate a large fleet of 3.5t–18t vehicles from multiple UK locations. We are seeking an experienced Accounts Assistant to join our friendly team at our Cannock-based group accounts office. You will play a key role in supporting day-to-day finance operations.
Responsibilities:
- Match delivery notes and check pricing against transport management system records
- Input purchase invoices onto Xero
- Resolve purchase ledger queries with suppliers and internal teams
- Process staff expenses and credit card receipts
- Reconcile supplier statements
- Prepare supplier payment runs
- Maintain approved supplier lists
- Post bank transactions and reconcile bank accounts
- Collate payroll information (hours, expenses, etc.)
- Handle incoming financial queries from customers, suppliers, and internal staff
- Maintain organised digital and paper filing systems
- Provide general administrative support as required
