A highly regarded organisation within the aerospace engineering sector is seeking an experienced Technical Support/Engineering Admin to join their Customer Services team. This is an exciting opportunity to play a crucial role in supporting workshop operations, managing supplier relationships, and ensuring the timely delivery of outsourced components and services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Define purchase / outsourced solutions for workshop needs based on applicable technical requirements.
- Define the Bill of Material related to after-sales operations and subcontracted manufacturing ranges.
- Update technical data via SAGE ERP (items, tools, documents, ranges, nomenclatures, equivalences).
- Select the suitable supplier from the approved supplier panels and issue purchase orders.
- Provide technical support for subcontracted manufacturing with the selected supplier.
- Follow-up of spare parts manufacturing (Progress and Delivery date).
- Manage non-conformities (recordings, treatment of curative, corrective, preventive actions, balance).
- Define curative actions in connection with the supplier in charge of manufacturing.
- Provide technical support to the Supplier as well as monitoring deviation requests: assess feasibility, validate specifications and modifications with the Design Office and the Quality Department.
- Set-up and manage the outsourced needs in our ERP SAGE X3 (customer need, purchaser order, product and stock management).
- Contribute to negotiations with suppliers (price, lead time, quality, logistics, packages).
- Manage supplier relationships and improve supplier panel (qualify new suppliers) and supply chain performance (monitor performance and improve existing supplier performance).
Candidate Profile:
- Educated to Degree or Master’s level in Engineering or a related technical discipline would be preferred but not essential.
- Experience within the aerospace, engineering, or mechanical industries is advantageous.
- Strong understanding of technical documentation, mechanical and hydraulic specifications.
- Proficient in ERP systems (ideally SAGE X3) and technical data management.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, international environment with cross-functional teams.
- Fluent English is essential.
