Proactive Personnel are proud to be recruiting on behalf of a small, privately owned nursery based in the beautiful village of Waverton, just outside Chester. We are looking for a qualified, experienced, and motivated Room Leader to join this friendly and dedicated team.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is passionate about early years education and eager to take on a leadership role within a supportive setting.
About the RoleAs Room Leader, you will take responsibility for the day-to-day running of your room, ensuring a safe, stimulating, and nurturing environment for young children. You will act as a key person, build strong relationships with families, and support the ongoing development of the staff team. This is a full-time position, working between 7:30am and 6:00pm. Due to the rural location, access to your own transport is preferred, as the nursery is not on a direct bus route.
Key Requirements- Minimum Level 3 Early Years / Childcare qualification (essential)
- Experience working within a nursery or early years setting
- A nurturing, caring approach with a passion for supporting children's emotional wellbeing
- Ability to lead, motivate and support a small team
- Maintain the safety, wellbeing, and safeguarding of all children at all times
- Ensure daily routines and procedures are followed consistently
- Oversee all health, hygiene, and safety processes
- Lead the planning of stimulating indoor and outdoor activities
- Create and maintain high-quality Continuous Provision
- Act as a key person, ensuring effective planning and observations for each child
- Support new starters with settling-in sessions and manage smooth room transitions
