Proactive Personnel are delighted to be recruiting on behalf of a small, privately owned nursery located in the village of Waverton, just outside Chester. We are seeking a qualified, experienced, and motivated Room Leader to join this warm and nurturing early years setting.

The Role

As a Room Leader, you will play a key role in supporting children's development, building strong relationships with families, and leading high-quality practice within the room. You will be a designated key person and will contribute to creating a safe, stimulating, and caring environment for all children. This is a full-time position, working between 7:30am and 6pm on a rota basis. Due to the rural location, own transport is preferred.

Key Requirements

  • Minimum Level 3 Early Years / Childcare qualification (essential)
  • Previous experience working in a nursery or early years setting
  • A caring, nurturing and professional approach to supporting children's emotional wellbeing
  • Ability to lead, support and motivate a team within the room

  • Support new children during settling-in sessions and manage smooth room transitions
  • Assist in planning events, Stay & Play sessions, and parent engagement activities
