My client who works within the manufacturing industry is seeking an experienced Mechanical Fitter to join their team. This is a great opportunity for someone with the right skill set and passion to join a fantastic team.

  • Mechanical Fitter
  • Monday to Thursday 07:45 - 17:00, Friday 07:30 - 12:30
  • Permanent contract
  • 33 days holiday
  • Company tool allowance scheme
  • Salary ranging from £28,000 - £32,000

Duties and Experience:

  • Working in a systems-assembly department, assembling and building automated machinery and equipment to detailed engineering drawings.
  • Carrying out testing, fault finding and diagnostics inspections of the build to ensure everything meets high standards.
  • Extensive use of a range of power and hand tools to assemble the parts.
  • Working effectively both independently and as part of a close-knit team.
  • The role will involve travel to customer sites both in the UK and overseas, therefore a valid passport and the ability to travel is a requirement for the role.
  • Must be confident in reading and interpreting engineering drawings with experience of completing mechanical inspections.
  • Proven experience in mechanical assembly, machine building or similar.
  • Solid knowledge of engineering processes and extensive use of hand and power tools.
