My client who works within the manufacturing industry is seeking an experienced Buyer / Category Leader to join their team. This is a great opportunity for someone with the right skill set and passion to join a fantastic team. The Buyer will be responsible for supporting procurement related data gathering and analysis, supply interaction via commodity responsibility, procurement support for different sites and the direct support of management.

Key Details:

  • Monday to Friday 08:30 - 16:15
  • Permanent contract
  • Fully office based
  • Salary ranging from £30,000 - £34,999

Duties and Experience:

  • Source and issue subcontracts for machinery, equipment, tools, packaging materials, parts, services and/or supplies necessary for operation of an organization.
  • Support procurement activities in a centralized environment with colleagues in multiple locations.
  • Manage material aspects for assigned commodity groups.
  • Prepare, issue, and review proposals, negotiate prices, select or recommend suppliers, analyse trends, approve payments.
