My client who works within the FMCG industry is seeking an experienced and motivated Shift Operational Lead to join the team. This is a great opportunity for someone with the right skill set and passion to join a fantastic team.
Key Details:
- 4 on 4 off, 2 days followed by 2 nights working 7am - 7pm / 7pm - 7am.
- Permanent contract.
- 33 days holiday.
- Salary ranging from £42,000 - £50,000.
Duties and Experience:
- As part of the Site Leadership Team, lead and motivate through communication, training, development and performance management.
- Overall responsibility for the development of all operators through continual coaching, mentoring, observation and review, identify the training and development needs of individuals to ensure team is responsive, agile, efficient and capable.
- Drive the CI strategy through development and support of the team through identification and development of CI Projects.
- Promote the management of safety, delivering no lost time accidents, reducing the number of minor incidents and reporting of all incidents through a safety culture.
- Full adherence of Health and Safety Procedures & Practices. Identify and report any conduct that breaches Health & Safety or does not fall within our company values, including all incidents and near misses.
- Lead the Daily Operational review meetings, Shift Team meetings and briefs.
- Attend the weekly planning meeting, working with planners to minimise change over frequency and optimise plans.
- Review shift plans - determining, communicating and actioning plan changes to reduce over and under. Ensure that the relevant operators are made aware of any plan changes, potential material, specification, quality and changeover issues.
- Must be able to work as part of the Site Leadership and Shift Leadership teams and be an effective team member.
- Proactive, creative, structured approach to problem solving.
- A degree in Engineering / Manufacturing or equivalent in operational experience.
- 5 years Supervisory/Leadership experience in a Production Team in an FMCG environment.
- 5 years experience of managing process control and operational excellence.
