We are seeking three reliable and skilled 7.5 Tonne Drivers to join our clients team in the Bolton area. The candidates will be responsible for transporting refrigerated goods safely and efficiently across the Lancashire area, ensuring timely deliveries while adhering to all traffic regulations. This role is essential in maintaining our commitment to excellent customer service and operational efficiency.
Duties
- Operate a 7.5 tonne vehicle for the delivery of refrigerated goods to various locations.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and compliance with regulations.
- Load and unload cargo, ensuring that all items are secured properly for transport.
- Maintain accurate delivery records and complete necessary paperwork as required.
- Follow designated routes and schedules while being adaptable to changes as needed.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers regarding delivery status and any issues that may arise.
- Uphold high standards of customer service during interactions with clients at delivery points.
Qualifications
- Valid UK driving licence with the appropriate category for driving a 7.5 tonne vehicle.
- Proven experience as a delivery driver is preferred but not essential.
- Strong understanding of road safety regulations and best practices for safe driving.
- Excellent time management skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Good communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact effectively with customers and colleagues.
