Onsite work in Nottingham. Our client is urgently seeking an experienced On-Premise Exchange Engineer to support critical upgrade and migration work across their messaging environment. This role requires a highly capable, self-sufficient engineer who can take ownership of the entire upgrade process with minimal oversight.
You will be responsible for upgrading the organisation’s on‑premise Microsoft Exchange environment from Exchange 2010 to Exchange Server SE, ensuring stability, compliance, and seamless continuity. Alongside the upgrade, you will also be tasked with adding and configuring additional mail domains.
Key Skills:
- Perform a full upgrade from Exchange 2010 to Exchange Server SE.
- Validate existing Exchange configuration and prepare the environment for migration.
- Implement best‑practice design for coexistence and transition.
- Add and configure new mail domains, including all associated DNS and routing requirements.
- Conduct mailbox migration, testing, and post‑upgrade validation.
- Ensure high availability, resilience, and operational continuity throughout the upgrade.
- Provide clear, structured documentation and handover notes upon completion.
