This role is ideal for someone from an application or software support background who regularly works with data, records, databases, and system outputs as part of troubleshooting and customer support.
The Role
- Act as a technical point of contact for customers, diagnosing application issues with a particular focus on data accuracy, structure, and flow through systems.
- Provide 1st / 2nd line application support for automation and low-code platforms.
- Investigate incidents by analysing data records, logs, system outputs, and error messages.
- Identify and resolve data-related issues such as validation errors, incorrect mappings, or corrupted records.
- Query, filter, and validate data to support root-cause analysis.
- Support customers with data-driven application issues, explaining findings clearly.
- Work with internal technical teams to resolve complex data or configuration problems.
- Manage incidents and service requests in line with SLA targets.
- Apply configuration changes, system updates, and fixes where required.
- Maintain detailed case notes and contribute to knowledge bases and data-related documentation.
What We’re Looking For
Essential experience:
- Background in Application Support, Software Support, or Technical Support.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, particularly around data issues.
- Hands-on experience working with data (e.g. validating records, using Excel/CSV files, querying systems, or basic SQL).
- Understanding how data flows through applications, forms, workflows, or integrations.
- Confident communicator, able to explain data and technical issues to non-technical users.
- Experience working in an IT service or SLA-driven environment.
Desirable (not essential):
- Basic SQL or database experience.
- Exposure to APIs, JSON, or data integrations.
- Experience with low-code platforms, automation tools, or workflow systems.
- Knowledge of ITIL / service management processes.
- Familiarity with JavaScript, Python, or similar scripting languages.

- Office location: Bedford.
- UK-based candidates only (security clearance required).
