We are partnering with a leading financial services organisation looking for an experienced Senior Linux / Oracle DBA to support and enhance critical banking platforms. This is a hands-on role for someone with strong expertise across Oracle databases, IBM Power infrastructure, and enterprise Linux/AIX environments, ideally within banking or financial services.
Key experience required:
- Oracle DBA administration in enterprise environments
- Oracle RAC, ASM, RMAN, Data Guard & performance tuning
- Linux (RHEL / Oracle Linux) and AIX administration
- IBM Power 10 infrastructure
- Oracle Flexcube support within banking (nice to have)
- Shell scripting (Bash/Korn) and advanced SQL/PLSQL
- Production support, DR planning, patching & automation
You will play a key role in ensuring the performance, stability, and availability of mission-critical finance applications while working closely with infrastructure, application, and senior IT teams.
Ideal background:
- 7+ years Oracle DBA experience
- Strong banking/financial services exposure (nice to have)
- Excellent troubleshooting and stakeholder management skills
- Comfortable working independently in complex enterprise environments
