Our leading client is seeking an experienced IT Engineer to join their team on an initial 12-month FTC. The ideal candidate will have experience delivering a range of infrastructure and wider IT projects, supporting system maintenance, and implementing service and security improvements.
Key responsibilities:
- Work with partners to manage and maintain our IT systems, including servers, networks, and security tools.
- Keep IT services running smoothly by monitoring performance and responding to alerts.
- Handle and resolve IT issues, incidents, and service requests.
- Identify security weaknesses and put processes in place to fix them.
- Regularly review and apply system and security updates.
- Provide technical help and support to colleagues when needed.
- Work with IT Support and DevOps teams to ensure security best practices are followed.
- Deliver IT improvements and new technology solutions as part of the project portfolio.
- Manage user accounts, access, and permissions across systems.
- Set up and manage monitoring tools and alerts.
- Keep IT documentation and procedures up to date.
- Help implement and maintain backup and recovery processes.
Experience:
- Experienced in technical support of IT Infrastructure and Operations (ideally in AWS).
- Strong understanding of security principles and vulnerability management.
- Experience with vulnerability scanning tools and remediation processes.
- Experience with infrastructure automation and configuration management tools.
- Knowledge of networking concepts and security protocols.
- Strong documentation and communication skills.
