We are currently recruiting for an experienced Data Engineer to join a leading financial institution on a 12-month fixed-term contract. This is an exciting opportunity to work within a dynamic team, supporting critical data processes and regulatory reporting requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and deliver data pipelines to collect, validate, and prepare high-quality data, automating key processes across the bank.
- Maintain and enhance existing SSIS ETLs (overnight and intraday), ensuring performance optimisation, robustness, and improved error monitoring.
- Provide support to the internal IT department on software platform changes and upgrades.
- Develop and maintain UK and EU regulatory reports, ensuring compliance with industry standards.
Key Skills & Experience:
- Microsoft SSIS (7+ years) – Extensive experience in developing and managing ETL workflows.
- Microsoft SSAS, SSRS (2+ years) – Hands-on experience with analytical and reporting solutions.
- C# Programming for Web Applications (7+ years) – Strong expertise in C# development.
- Windows Applications (2+ years) – Experience in building and supporting Windows applications.
- Software Analysis & Design – Strong understanding of best practices in software development.
- Application Support (2nd & 3rd Line) – Proven track record in supporting business-critical applications.
- Problem Solving & Critical Thinking – Ability to identify issues and implement effective solutions.
Desirable Skills:
- Knowledge of dimensional modelling, ER modelling, and normalised modelling.
- Understanding of data warehouse design concepts (Inmon, Kimball methodologies).
