Our client, a global bank, has an exciting opportunity for a Technical Business Analyst to join on an initial contract until the end of 2026 with a view to extending.

Responsibilities:

  • Work in the International Controllers change management team on a specific timebound project, assisting with the development of key APAC regulatory reporting requirements primarily.
  • Focus will be on the deliveries required for a Reporting Project as well as other internal APAC initiatives and the build out of the strategic Axiom infrastructure that feeds these requirements.
  • Assist in writing user stories to reflect the business requirements of various regulatory reporting modules and liaise with technology team members through Agile scrum methodology to ensure requirements are understood.
  • Ensure, where possible, that operational risk through manual processes is minimised, leveraging digital tools (Alteryx, Power BI etc) to develop automated solutions where technology solutions are unavailable.
  • Analyse regulatory guidance and provide SME insights when forming requirements for reporting modules, challenging existing approaches in a thoughtful manner where appropriate to ensure full regulatory compliance.
  • Assist in documenting processes and decisions as part of project delivery to reporting teams.

Must-Have skills/experience:

  • AxiomSL Business Analyst or Developer experience.
  • Regulatory reporting experience; Data strategy, Financial, Capital and/or Liquidity reporting.
  • Good problem-solving skills, independent thinker and strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy.

Desirable skills/experience:

  • Process optimization, transformation and change management experience.
  • Digitalisation, AI Adoption experience.
  • Project management, time management, and organisational skills.
  • Minimally 5-10 years of relevant experience (Axiom, reg reporting, system implementation).

Education/Certification:

  • Certified Accountant preferred.
