This is a unique opportunity to take ownership of an enterprise metadata capability, shaping how data is discovered, governed and trusted across the organisation. As the Metadata Lead, you will own the vision and roadmap for our metadata tooling landscape, including Collibra and Unity Catalog, ensuring they operate as a cohesive ecosystem. Working closely with Data Owners, Stewards, IT and the wider data community, you will translate technical and regulatory needs into scalable, business-focused solutions while driving adoption, value realisation and continuous improvement. Responsibilities
- Design, own and deliver the metadata roadmap.
- Lead Collibra and Unity Catalog configuration, rollout, and value realisation plans.
- Use metadata tooling and processes to enable the effective delivery of Data Governance & Data Quality outcomes with key stakeholders.
- Promote metadata tooling purpose and value through data forums, workshops and demos to maximise output and value from business tooling investment.
Qualifications
- Metadata Expertise: Collibra specialist with strong data cataloguing and lineage knowledge, as well as strong Databricks Unity Catalog experience.
- Delivery Leadership: Experience designing and executing against delivery roadmaps that are underpinned by purposeful outcomes and value.
- Communication: Ability to translate technical solutions into clear and understandable business outcomes and value.
- Governance Focus: Excellent understanding of Data Governance/Data Quality best practice and strong experience of using metadata tooling capabilities to deliver business value.
