We’re partnering with a global, premium consumer goods organisation to recruit a Manhattan Configuration Specialist. This is a highly visible role within EMEA distribution operations, focused on optimising and supporting the configuration of Manhattan Active Warehouse Management System (AWMS) across a company-run warehouse network.
You’ll work closely with regional Distribution teams and global Manhattan configuration and support partners in the US, acting as a technical and operational bridge to ensure best-in-class warehouse and export operations. This position plays a key role in system configuration, standardisation, testing, change management and continuous improvement. You’ll support live operations while also shaping future-state warehouse solutions through data, process design and system optimisation.
Key Responsibilities:- Manhattan AWMS Configuration & Rollout Support (30%)
- Configure, optimise and support Manhattan AWMS across EMEA operations.
- Translate operational needs into system configuration and support deployments, upgrades and enhancements.
- Troubleshoot issues and manage ongoing system, device and firmware maintenance in collaboration with IT and vendors.
- Process Standardisation & SOP Development (25%)
- Develop and maintain SOPs, workflows and technical documentation aligned to AWMS configuration.
- Build and manage a standardised Distribution Systems Playbook.
- Ensure consistent process and system adoption across all sites.
- Data Analysis, Reporting & Solution Design (15%)
- Analyse operational data to identify gaps and improvement opportunities.
- Define current vs future-state processes and design effective system and process solutions.
- Support decision-making through data insights and reporting integration.
- Distribution SME & Change Management (10%)
- Act as the Manhattan AWMS subject matter expert.
- Lead change initiatives, ensuring robust change control and consistent adoption.
- Drive continuous improvement across distribution workflows.
- System Testing & Deployment (10%)
- Plan and execute UAT, regression testing and validation.
- Support deployments, go-live activities and post-implementation reviews with IT and vendors.
- Training & Operational Support (10%)
- Deliver system and SOP training, including onboarding and refreshers.
- Provide second-line Manhattan support, triaging escalations from the UK Service Desk.
- Proven experience configuring and supporting warehouse or distribution management systems.
- Strong hands-on experience with Manhattan AWMS, including testing and optimisation.
- Exposure to multi-site or international distribution environments.
- Experience delivering training, developing SOPs and supporting operational teams.
- Background working at the intersection of IT and warehouse operations.
- Expert knowledge of Manhattan AWMS configuration and workflows.
- Strong device management experience (handhelds, controls-based systems).
- Understanding of ERP integration, ideally SAP S/4HANA.
- Data analysis and reporting capability.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Change management and project coordination experience preferred.
