- IT Technician

- We are currently recruiting for an experienced
IT Technician to join a busy and supportive IT team within a well-established educational environment.
Working closely with the IT Manager, you will play a key role in ensuring the school’s technology infrastructure and digital services operate efficiently, providing exceptional support to staff and students while helping to maintain a secure and reliable IT environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality 1st and 2nd line IT support across the school.
- Work alongside the IT Manager to ensure all IT systems and digital services remain available and secure.
- Administer Microsoft 365 services and support end users.
- Manage Active Directory (Azure and on-premises), Group Policy and AD Federation Services.
- Support Microsoft Teams and Share Point within a classroom environment.
- Deploy and manage devices using SCCM, Intune and Windows Autopilot.
- Support VMware virtual server infrastructure.
- Maintain Windows Server and desktop operating systems.
- Assist with data protection, cyber security and safeguarding compliance.
- Produce and maintain clear technical documentation and user guides.
- Keep up to date with emerging technologies and developments within the education sector.
Skills & Experience
We’re looking for someone who has
- Previous experience in a Senior IT Technician or similar IT Support role.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Strong Microsoft 365 administration experience.
- Experience with Azure Active Directory and on-premises Active Directory.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Teams and Share Point administration.
- Experience with SCCM, Intune and Windows Autopilot.
- VMware virtualisation experience.
- Good understanding of Windows Server and Windows desktop operating systems.
- Strong awareness of cyber security and data protection best practices.
- The ability to create and maintain high‑quality technical documentation.
- Fluent written and spoken English.
