As a Delivery Manager, you’ll lead the successful delivery of strategic digital engineering initiatives that enable the next generation of defence and aerospace programmes.
Working with engineering, manufacturing, programme and digital teams, you’ll be responsible for delivering solutions that improve collaboration, enhance traceability, streamline engineering processes and support the adoption of modern digital capabilities across complex, highly regulated environments.

- Typical Responsibilities
- Depending on your background and area of expertise, responsibilities may include:
- Leading the delivery of digital engineering products, platforms and transformation initiatives from concept through to deployment.
- Managing delivery roadmaps, priorities, budgets, risks and dependencies across multiple workstreams.
- Collaborating with engineering, manufacturing, software and programme teams to define requirements and deliver business value.
- Driving adoption of Digital Engineering practices, governance and standard ways of working.
- Supporting the implementation of Digital Thread and Digital Continuity across engineering and manufacturing environments.
- Delivering improvements across Configuration Management, Software Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Systems Engineering and Capability Demonstration activities.
- Coordinating cross-functional teams, suppliers and technology partners to achieve successful programme outcomes.
- Ensuring solutions meet quality, regulatory, security and compliance requirements.
- Managing stakeholder engagement across technical and non-technical audiences.
- Driving continuous improvement, operational excellence and innovation throughout delivery.

Successful candidates will typically have
- Experience delivering complex projects or products within Aerospace, Defence or another highly regulated industry.
- Strong programme or project delivery experience across engineering or digital transformation.
- Excellent stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence across multiple business functions.
- Experience working with cross-functional engineering teams and external suppliers.
- Knowledge of engineering governance, assurance and regulatory environments.
- Experience managing risks, budgets, delivery plans and programme dependencies.
- Strong communication and leadership skills with a collaborative approach to delivery.
- The ability to balance strategic objectives with successful day-to-day execution.
Desirable Experience

- Digital Thread and Digital Engineering transformation
- Software development lifecycle and Dev Sec Ops
- Configuration and Change Management
- Engineering toolchains including ALM and PLM platforms
- Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE)
- Manufacturing digitalisation
- Systems integration
- Agile, SAFe or traditional project delivery methodologies
- Defence or Aerospace certification and assurance environments
Qualifications
- We’re open to a variety of backgrounds, although the following would be advantageous:
- Degree in Engineering, Computer Science or a related discipline
- APM, PRINCE2, Agile, Scrum or SAFe certifications
- ITIL or Service Management qualifications
