We are seeking an experienced Dynamics 365 Business Central Lead to take ownership of our clients Business Central platform and play a key role in shaping how finance and operational systems support the wider business. This is a hands‑on role combining functional expertise, technical understanding, system governance, and stakeholder engagement.
You will act as the primary owner of Dynamics 365 Business Central, responsible for its configuration, stability, security, and ongoing evolution. Working closely with finance, business users, and third‑party partners, you will ensure the platform delivers maximum business value while meeting governance and control requirements.
Key Responsibilities- Own the end‑to‑end design, configuration, support, and continuous improvement of Dynamics 365 Business Central
- Provide deep functional expertise across finance modules, including general ledger, reporting, and intercompany processes
- Manage system administration, security roles, access controls, and data integrity across multiple environments
- Oversee DevOps / ALM processes, ensuring controlled deployments, change management, and environment governance
- Act as the primary point of contact for Business Central‑related issues, troubleshooting complex functional and technical challenges
- Own and prioritise the Business Central backlog, writing high‑quality user stories aligned to business outcomes
- Engage effectively with finance teams, business stakeholders, and third‑party consultants to drive delivery and resolve issues
- 3–5+ years’ experience designing, configuring, and supporting Dynamics 365 Business Central
- Strong understanding of Business Central architecture, environments, extensions, and integrations
- Proven experience managing IT General Controls, Active Directory, and system governance
- Working knowledge of C/AL and hands‑on experience with AL development
- Strong financial and accounting knowledge, including multi‑company, multi‑currency, and intercompany scenarios
- Experience working with Power BI and delivering business‑focused reporting
- Analytical, structured problem solver with the ability to operate calmly in complex environments
