We are looking for an experienced Azure DevOps Engineer to join our growing technology team. You’ll be responsible for implementing, maintaining, and optimising Azure-hosted environments, ensuring they remain secure, scalable, reliable, and cost-effective.
Working closely with Development, QA, Support, and Project teams, you’ll play a key role in platform improvements, deployments, automation, and supporting cloud infrastructure across a modern microservices-based environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Build, maintain, and improve Azure cloud platforms and environments
- Support deployment pipelines and continuous delivery processes
- Collaborate with development teams on infrastructure and environment decisions
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex platform and application issues
- Implement monitoring, logging, and performance optimisation solutions
- Participate in paid out-of-hours deployment activities and support rota
- Contribute to infrastructure automation and platform scalability initiatives
Skills & Experience
- 2+ years’ experience in a DevOps or Cloud Engineering role
- Strong experience with:
- Azure DevOps and Azure Pipelines
- Docker (Linux & Windows)
- Kubernetes / Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS)
- CI/CD and Continuous Deployment practices
- Azure SQL Databases and Managed Instances
- Azure Service Bus or similar messaging platforms
- PowerShell scripting
- Microsoft SQL Server
- Application monitoring and logging tools
- Experience supporting microservices-based architectures
- Knowledge of IIS, SSO, Cosmos DB, NGINX, and Azure Application Insights
- Platform performance tuning and optimisation experience
Desirable
- Bicep and ARM Templates
- Cloudflare
- Octopus Deploy
- C#/.NET knowledge
- Prometheus and Grafana
- Seq, Loki, or similar logging platforms
- Virtual machine administration
