Automation Tester – HYBRID WORKING
We are working with one of our longest standing customers who are a market leader in their particular area of the Financial Services sector.
About the Role
As a key member of our team, you’ll play a crucial role in ensuring the quality of our new and existing systems. You will be responsible for designing, writing, and executing automated test scripts, conducting various tests, and collaborating with both internal teams and client-side counterparts. This role offers the opportunity to contribute within an agile environment, demanding flexibility and a proactive approach to setting, managing, and executing test automation and QA activities.
What You’ll Do
- Develop and execute automated tests for our web applications
- Continuously improve and maintain existing automation test suites
- Diagnose and document software defects within Azure DevOps
- Analyse, report, and communicate automation test results to stakeholders
- Collaborate closely with the development team to ensure software quality
Key Skills
We welcome applications from candidates of all experience levels, but a solid foundation in the following areas is essential:
- Programming Proficiency: Experience with TypeScript/JavaScript.
- Test Automation Frameworks: Experience with TypeScript/JavaScript testing frameworks such as Playwright (preferred), Cypress, Protractor, or Mocha.
- Web Application Testing: Proven experience in web application testing and writing automated test scripts.
- Test Analysis: Ability to analyse and interpret test results effectively.
- SDLC & Agile: Strong understanding of the software development lifecycle and agile methodologies.
- Testing Best Practices: Solid understanding of software testing principles and best practices.
