We are currently recruiting a skilled CNC Turner for a high-spec precision engineering environment working on complex, high-tolerance components using advanced materials.

Role Overview

Programming, setting, and operating CNC lathes to manufacture precision components to micron-level tolerances in a quality-driven workshop environment.

Initial location: West Byfleet (4-6 months) Permanent location: Send, Woking (Surrey)

Key Responsibilities

  • CNC programming, setting and operating turning machines
  • Producing precision components to tight tolerances
  • Working with exotic materials (Titanium, Inconel, Hastelloy, Duplex, etc.)
  • Reading engineering drawings and GD&T
  • Tool selection, machining strategy, and process optimisation
  • In-process inspection and quality control
  • Fault finding and machine adjustments
  • Maintaining strict health & safety standards

Requirements

  • Proven CNC Turning experience
  • Strong programming ability
  • Ability to work to tight tolerances
  • Understanding of engineering drawings & GD&T
  • Experience with inspection tools and quality standards
  • Aerospace / Oil & Gas / Defence background desirable

Package

  • £18.50 - £19.50 per hour (DOE)
  • Overtime at 1.5x rate
  • 40 hours per week (Mon-Fri, 07:00-15:30)
  • Pension scheme (5% employee / 3% employer)
  • 24 days holiday + bank holidays
