As the Goods-In/Out Supervisor, you will be responsible for ensuring the accurate receipt, inspection, and documentation of all incoming and outgoing goods. You will collaborate with various departments, manage inventory levels, and contribute to the smooth flow of goods in and out of our clients warehouse.
Main Purpose of Job:
- Supervise all goods into the warehouses in line with company processes.
- Supervise all outbound goods in line with company processes.
- Supervise all MHE operatives in the goods in/out operations.
- Update the warehouse management systems in a timely manner.
- Produce all documentation for all inbound loads.
- Ensure all inbound loads are scanned away into a location.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the receiving process for all incoming and outgoing goods, ensuring accuracy and completeness of deliveries.
- Supervise all the MHE staff in connection with the warehouse goods in and out operations.
- Inspect received goods for quality, quantity, and compliance with purchase orders and specifications.
- Inspect all outgoing goods for quality, quantity, and compliance with picking sheets and orders.
- Collaborate with all internal stakeholders to resolve any discrepancies or issues with incoming and outgoing shipments.
- Ensure timely and accurate recording of received goods in the inventory management system.
- Coordinate with the Warehouse Manager to maintain accurate stock levels and address any stock discrepancies.
- Implement and enforce safety and security protocols for the goods-in/out area.
- Train and supervise goods-in/out staff, providing guidance on best practices and company policies.
- Work closely with the Warehouse Manager/Customer Service team to communicate any issues or delays in the goods-in/out process.
- Generate reports on goods-in/out performance and contribute to process improvement initiatives.
Knowledge and Skills Needed:
- Proven experience in goods-in/out supervisory role or a similar role, preferably in a fast-paced warehouse environment.
- Driving licence.
- Counterbalance licence.
- Reach truck licence (desirable).
- Flexi Licence (desirable).
- Strong organisational and multitasking abilities.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy in record-keeping.
- Familiarity with inventory management systems and processes.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Problem-solving abilities to address issues related to incoming and outgoing shipments.
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
