Test Technician Required to work for electronics manufacturer based in the St. Ives area of Cambridgeshire - Immediate Start Available.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform functional testing of electronic assemblies, PCBs, and finished products.
- Diagnose and fault-find down to component level on analogue and digital electronic circuits.
- Use test equipment including oscilloscopes, digital multimeters, signal generators, spectrum analysers, and power supplies.
- Record test results, repair actions, and non-conformances in accordance with company procedures.
- Support root cause analysis and continuous improvement activities.
- Liaise with engineering and production teams to resolve technical issues.
- Ensure all work complies with quality standards, ESD procedures, and health and safety requirements.
Essential Skills & Experience
- Previous experience in electronic test based work.
- Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills to component level.
- Ability to read and interpret electronic schematics and engineering drawings.
- Experience using: Oscilloscopes, Digital multimeters (DMM), Signal/function generators, Bench power supplies, Logic analysers (desirable).
- Good attention to detail and methodical approach to troubleshooting.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
