Experienced Deburrer urgently required to work for a specialist manufacturing business based near Woking. We are looking for someone with experience working with a variety of metal parts that have been fabricated, formed, cut etc. You will be responsible for fettling, deburring, acid cleaning, metal polishing, removing burrs, sharp edges, and imperfections from metal components to ensure they meet quality standards and specifications. This role requires precision, attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. This role focuses on high-end cosmetic and functional finishing of tight-tolerance, high-value components for demanding engineering applications. Individuals will be working within a small team but need to be able to work on their own initiative with minimal supervision.
Key Responsibilities:
- Hand deburring and precision finishing of CNC-machined components
- Removal of burrs, sharp edges and machining marks to cosmetic and functional standards
- High-end finishing of tight-tolerance and customer-critical components
- Operation of rumbling / vibratory finishing processes where required
- Use of hand and powered tools including files, stones, scrapers, emery, Scotch-Brite, pencil and die grinders
- Preparation of components for anodising, coating, plating and assembly
- Reading and working from engineering drawings and job documentation
