Position: Stores & Logistics Operative Salary: £28,000 – £30,000 Location: Wooburn Green Proactive are currently working with a client who are a market leader in their field based in Wooburn Green. Our client are looking for a Stores & Logistics Operative to come and join a growing and successful business to assist in the smooth function of the site. Responsibilities: Order Fulfilment & Dispatch: Accurately pick, pack, and prepare customer orders. Arrange courier collections and ensure timely despatch. System Processing & Documentation: Process goods in and out, enter data accurately into our ERP system, and complete job-related paperwork. Goods-In Handling: Receive deliveries, inspect quality, and check against purchase orders to ensure everything\’s as expected. Manual Handling: Load and unload deliveries and materials, following best manual handling practices. Kitting & Cutting Jobs: Use job sheets to prepare and cut materials (e.g., plastic sheets) to specification. Full training on guillotine and wall saw provided. Stock Control: Carry out regular stock checks, maintain system accuracy, and investigate any discrepancies. General Warehouse Duties: Maintain a clean, safe, and organised warehouse environment. Support team members as needed. Forklift Operations: Operate forklifts for movement of goods and materials (training provided if required). Carry out safety checks and report any maintenance issues. Team Support: Work closely with the Stores and Logistics Manager and wider team, assisting across operations where needed.Experience: Good level of computer literacy and accuracy with paperwork Comfortable navigating ERP or stock management systems Strong attention to detail and accuracy in handling stock and systems Clear, confident, communicator-written and verbal Physically fit and happy with manual work Previous experience in warehousing, production admin, or logistics is a bonus Basic ability to interpret technical drawings or cut plans. Self-motivated and able to work independently or as part of a team. Awareness of health & safety procedures in a warehouse environment.
