Powder Coater Slough Proactive Global is hiring for experienced Powder Coater to join a leading manufacturing company based in Slough. Role: temp to perm Hours: Standard Shift Pay Rate: £15 - £16 holiday accrued Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced Powder Coater to join our production team, specialising in high-quality small volume finished products. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing, coating, and finishing components to a consistently high standard, ensuring durability, appearance, and compliance with specifications. Key Responsibilities Prepare metal components for coating, including cleaning, masking, and pre-treatment Apply powder coating using manual spray equipment Ensure even coverage, correct thickness, and high-quality finish Operate curing ovens and monitor temperature and cycle times Inspect finished products for defects such as runs, thin coverage, or contamination Carry out rework and touch-ups where required Maintain equipment and ensure the spray booth and work area are clean and organised Follow all health & safety procedures, including safe handling of powders and equipment Work closely with production and quality teams to meet deadlines and standards Essential Requirements Proven experience in powder coating within a manufacturing or finishing environment Strong understanding of surface preparation and coating techniques Ability to achieve consistent, high-quality finishes on a variety of components Good attention to detail and quality control standards Knowledge of curing processes and coating specifications Ability to work independently and as part of a team Desirable Skills & Experience Experience with high-spec or cosmetic finish products Familiarity with different powder types and application methods Basic maintenance knowledge of coating equipment Personal Attributes Quality-driven with pride in producing excellent finishes Reliable, punctual, and hardworking Good communication and teamwork skills Proactive approach to problem-solving Working Conditions Small workshop Use of PPE including masks, gloves, and protective clothing Exposure to powders, heat, and industrial equipment Interested candidates can apply or share their CV at or call at (phone number removed) for further information.
