Service Controller/ Coordinator required for a leading organisation supplying a wide range of their own equipment into the aviation industry. As a service controller, you will be playing a pivotal role within the operations of the company and will be key to ensuring all equipment is distributed to customers and orders fulfilled correctly and within agreed timescales.

You will be the interface of the business between the customers and the workshop/ service team!

  • Responsible for co-ordinating equipment from all departments and ensuring all equipment is checked out onto the correct job before loading.
  • Strong Customer service/ Support and Account management of major customers at airports.
  • Liaise with the Equipment Departments, Account Management team and end customer to ensure all requests and requirements are facilitated in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Ensure vehicles are loaded completely and in a timely fashion to maximise loading bay availability and to ensure that vehicles are loaded safely, securely and of an acceptable standard to avoid customer complaint on delivery.
  • Work with the Equipment Control Manager & Shift Leaders to understand the current workflow, priority of work and despatch deadlines.
  • Ensure sub hires are properly checked and accounted for and scanned onto the correct job.
  • To have a strong attention to detail, ensuring all equipment is inspected thoroughly and checked out following the correct procedures.
  • Ensure all items leaving the premises are scanned to the correct job number.
  • To ensure when a job/job part is cancelled the equipment is individually returned and removed from that job in an accurate and efficient manner.
  • Making sure the equipment is taken back into the relevant departments and they are notified to ensure its returned to relevant place.

The person must be IT literate with a good understanding of Microsoft Word and Excel. Able to learn the stock control inventory system. Must be able to confidently communicate with internal and external clients receiving instruction and giving advice. Be able to build strong working relationships with colleagues. To be able to work under pressure and to challenging deadlines. Self-motivating and organising with the ability to plan workload and keep track of multiple jobs. Experience with stock control systems would be an advantage.
