We are currently recruiting for a Design Engineer to join an established and growing BMS organisation based in Rickmansworth. We are open to applications from both Junior and Senior Design Engineers, provided you have experience working with BMS and AutoCAD.

As a Design Engineer, you will be responsible for delivering design work across multiple concurrent BMS projects, producing detailed AutoCAD drawings and working closely with consultants, clients, project managers, software engineers, production and commissioning teams.

Please note: This is a fully office-based role, requiring 5 days per week in the office. Working hours are 08:45-16:45, Monday to Friday, with a 45-minute lunch break.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Producing BMS panel drawings, electrical schematics and panel layouts using AutoCAD.
  • Ensuring designs are compliant with specifications, safe and delivered within budget.
  • Reviewing technical specifications and identifying design or cost issues.
  • Liaising with clients, consultants, sales and project teams throughout the design and approval process.
  • Working with software engineers to coordinate designs, software and graphics.
  • Producing BOMs and supporting equipment procurement.
  • Reviewing panel designs during production and ensuring standards are maintained.
  • Completing as-built drawings from workshop or site mark-ups.
  • Responding to technical queries and working collaboratively with production and commissioning teams.
  • Supporting cost control, continual improvement and efficient project delivery.

We're looking for someone with:
