PCB Assembler Role:
- Soldering a wide range of PTH components to IPC or J-STD standards (Class 2 & 3)
- Using X-Ray inspection equipment to check solder joints
- Assembling simple cables, small mechanical builds, and enclosures
- Programming and operating selective soldering and wave soldering machines
- Following build instructions and manufacturing drawings accurately
- Using the company’s computer-based system to record production notes and log time
- Reporting quality issues and working closely with the quality manager to maintain standards
Experience of the PCB Assembler:
- Desirable: Experience soldering to IPC or J-STD standards
- Essential: Comfortable with a mix of manual assembly and operating soldering equipment
- Essential: Strong attention to detail and a proactive approach to quality
- Essential: Ability to read and follow technical drawings and production documentation
- Desirable: Previous experience in a manufacturing or electronics environment
