We are currently looking for an experienced Control Systems / PLC Software Engineer to join an exciting brownfield rail project with an immediate start available within the next 2 weeks. This is an excellent opportunity to work on a major infrastructure project with a strong engineering team already in place.

Contract Details

  • Duration: 6 months to 1 year
  • Location: Central London - Software Development
  • Location: West London / East London area near Heathrow - Testing & Commissioning
  • Hybrid Requirement: 3 days per week onsite initially, potentially increasing to 4-5 days during commissioning phase

Key Requirements

  • Strong software development experience on the Rockwell ControlLogix platform
  • Experience with PLC redundancy systems
  • Knowledge of Functional Safety standards (IEC 61508)
  • Experience working on large distributed PLC networks
  • Excellent written and spoken English
  • Previous experience within rail, infrastructure, or industrial automation projects is highly desirable

Commissioning Information

  • Day and night shifts available Monday to Friday
  • Candidates can choose: Full project involvement including commissioning; Day-shift commissioning only; Software development only
  • A full engineering team will already be onsite to support delivery
