We are seeking an experienced and motivated Production Supervisor to play a key role within an engineering environment. You will support and guide a team of assemblers while remaining hands-on, ensuring safe, efficient, and high-quality delivery of all production activities. This role is central to maintaining workflow, meeting output targets, and driving continuous improvement across the department. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working on the tools, naturally supports others, and takes pride in high standards and problem solving.
Key Responsibilities
- Support and guide assemblers on the shop floor, acting as a technical point of reference
- Allocate daily tasks as required and assist with workload planning and handovers
- Ensure production output is delivered on time and to the required quality standards
- Identify and help resolve issues affecting production performance
- Escalate concerns and communicate daily priorities to the Production Manager
- Work closely with engineering and operations teams to improve processes and resolve manufacturability issues
- Using ERP system
- Reading engineering drawings
- Working from Bill of Materials
Essential Experience & Skills
- Minimum 2 years' experience as a skilled assembler in a manufacturing or production environment
- Strong hands-on experience with technical equipment or complex assemblies
- Ability to support and mentor less experienced team members
- Confident reading drawings, specifications, and Bills of Materials
- Comfortable using ERP or production tracking systems
