Position: CNC Press Brake Operator

Location: Wakefield

Alternating weekly shifts: 6:00am-2:00pm and 2:00pm-10:00pm

Proactive are currently recruiting for an experienced Press Brake Operator to join a well-established manufacturing company.

Responsibilities:

  • Set up and operate Amada CNC press brake machines to produce components to specification.
  • Read and interpret engineering drawings and technical documentation.
  • Select the correct tooling and carry out machine set-ups efficiently.
  • Perform routine machine checks and basic maintenance where required.
  • Work safely and maintain a clean, organised working environment.
  • Collaborate with production and quality teams to ensure production targets and deadlines are achieved.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives to maximise efficiency and reduce waste.

Skills:

  • Previous experience operating Amada CNC Press Brakes.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
  • Strong understanding of sheet metal fabrication processes.
  • Excellent attention to detail with a commitment to producing high-quality work.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Flexible to work alternating morning and afternoon shifts.
