Position: CNC Press Brake Operator
Location: Wakefield
Alternating weekly shifts: 6:00am-2:00pm and 2:00pm-10:00pm
Proactive are currently recruiting for an experienced Press Brake Operator to join a well-established manufacturing company.
Responsibilities:
- Set up and operate Amada CNC press brake machines to produce components to specification.
- Read and interpret engineering drawings and technical documentation.
- Select the correct tooling and carry out machine set-ups efficiently.
- Perform routine machine checks and basic maintenance where required.
- Work safely and maintain a clean, organised working environment.
- Collaborate with production and quality teams to ensure production targets and deadlines are achieved.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives to maximise efficiency and reduce waste.
Skills:
- Previous experience operating Amada CNC Press Brakes.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
- Strong understanding of sheet metal fabrication processes.
- Excellent attention to detail with a commitment to producing high-quality work.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Flexible to work alternating morning and afternoon shifts.
