Location: Wakefield
Hours: Rotating Shifts - 6:00am-2:00pm / 2:00pm-10:00pm
We are currently recruiting for Brake Press Operators in Wakefield to join a growing and busy production team. As a Brake Press Operator, you will be responsible for setting up and operating brake press machinery to produce components to specification.
Responsibilities:
- Setting up and operating brake press machinery
- Bending, forming and shaping sheet metal to specification
- Reading and interpreting engineering drawings and job sheets
- Adjusting machine settings, tooling, and programmes as required
- Conducting quality checks to ensure accurate dimensions and finishes
- Working to production targets while maintaining safety and quality standards
- Supporting general fabrication processes when required
Personal Skills:
- Previous experience operating brake press machinery
- Ability to read engineering drawings and follow technical instructions
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced production environment
- Ability to work rotating shifts
