PLC Programmers & Commissioning Engineers Battery Manufacturing Projects | Germany & USA | Contract We are currently seeking PLC Programmers and Commissioning Engineers to support a series of battery manufacturing projects across Germany and the USA. The projects offer opportunities for engineers with a range of experience, from machine commissioning and production support through to full PLC software development. Responsibilities Depending on your experience, responsibilities may include: Commissioning automated machinery and production equipment Commissioning Profinet and EtherCAT networks Testing and validation of machine safety systems Commissioning servo drives and motion control systems Machine calibration and setup activities Integration with master control systems and external equipment Communication with vision systems, lasers and other third-party devices Troubleshooting and fault finding during commissioning Production support and optimisation PLC software development Hardware configuration Safety software development Development of manual and automatic machine functions Sequential programming HMI / visualisation development Technical documentation and operating instructions Requirements Experience with Siemens TIA Portal and/or Beckhoff TwinCAT 3 Previous experience within automated manufacturing environments Understanding of machine commissioning and industrial automation Automotive or battery manufacturing experience would be advantageous English language skills (minimum B1 level) Project Information Battery manufacturing projects across Germany and the USA Multiple deployment options available depending on project requirements Opportunities for both Germany-based and USA-based assignments Some assignments may involve longer stays in Germany with the potential for subsequent deployment to the USA Other assignments may involve shorter USA deployments of approximately 3-4 weeks with breaks between rotations Longer-term USA deployments are also anticipated, with some assignments expected to run for several months Flexibility and willingness to travel internationally is essential Flexible rotation patterns available Strong potential for long-term extensions due to ongoing project demand Proactive Global is committed to equality in the workplace and is an equal opportunity employer.
