A Pick and Place Operator urgently required to work in a leading global company based in Cranleigh. The company is investing in innovation and excellence in the electronics manufacturing sector. Due to ongoing growth, they are expanding their Surface Mount Technology (SMT) team. We are currently seeking a skilled SMT Operative to join the team, contributing to the production of high-quality circuit boards.

This is a Permanent role and as a Pick and Place Operator, you will play a key role in the assembly process, focusing on solder paste printing, component placement, and operating Automated Optical Inspection (AOI) equipment. With frequent changeovers and a variety of circuit boards to assemble, this role requires a proactive approach to efficiency, quality, and continuous improvement.

Working hours: Monday to Friday 8.30am - 4.30pm

Key Responsibilities:

  • Set up equipment for various production roles, ensuring proper configuration.
  • Run machines effectively to prepare for daily production.
  • Monitor machine performance to ensure efficient operation and adherence to procedures.
  • Work independently and effectively without close supervision.
  • Meet production targets while maintaining high quality standards.

Required Skills & Experience:

  • Any previous experience with SMT/Pick and Place equipment is required.
  • Good understanding of SMT processes, solder paste printing, and component placement.
  • Ability to work efficiently and effectively with minimal supervision.
