As a Senior Electrical Design Engineer you will be responsible for the design and development of electrical and electronic circuitry to support the manufacturing and systems development processes.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead electrical designs for new equipment.
  • Creation, modification, maintenance and management of electrical designs and system builds.
  • Support the product development needs of the next generation of xenon flashlamp systems.
  • Liaise with sub–contract suppliers of electrical systems.
  • Support existing products in the field with technical support.

Knowledge and Experience

Essential:

  • A degree (or equivalent) in Electrical / Electronics Engineering.
  • Experience in power electronics.
  • Experience in E–Plan – drawings, panel layout, BOM, cable schedules.
  • Fault–finding of electrical and electronic circuitry.
  • Willingness to travel for on–site customer support and training.
  • Self–starters with an attention to detail and a drive for problem solving.

Desirable:

  • Experience in PLC control system design.
  • Experience in high voltage design.
  • Experience in supervision of Electrical builds to design.
  • Experience in managing rollout of designs with suppliers.
  • Experience in commissioning systems (FAT & SAT).
