About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Senior Prototype Control Panel Wirer to join our manufacturing team based in Greater London. This role focuses on the build, wiring, and development of prototype control panels and telemetry units used within the oil and gas industry. You'll play a key role in turning engineering designs into fully functioning, high-quality products.
Key Responsibilities
- Wire and assemble complex control panels from schematics and technical drawings
- Build and prototype telemetry units and associated equipment
- Interpret electrical diagrams, layouts, and wiring schedules
- Work closely with design and engineering teams to refine prototype builds
- Identify and resolve wiring and assembly issues during development stages
- Ensure all builds meet quality standards and industry regulations
- Support testing, fault-finding, and validation of completed units
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organised work environment
Skills & Experience Required
- Proven experience in control panel wiring (essential)
- Strong background in prototype or bespoke build environments
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and wiring diagrams
- Experience working within manufacturing, ideally in oil & gas or related industries
- Knowledge of telemetry systems (desirable)
- High attention to detail and quality standards
- Strong problem-solving and fault-finding skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
